Now I see where Jessi went to and it’s great to see her again. What was the reason for her not being on Extreme 4X4 anymore I really loved her being on that because it showed that some women have the ability of working on any vehicle just like any other guy.

Can the clearcoat spray be used on polished aluminum valve covers to protect the finish and maintain a shine? If so, which do I use, the lacquer or the enamel?

I know this post will not make it….but man the finished products you show are crap. I have used DupliColor for years with much better result than what you are showing here. As a long time restorer and a automotive marketing consultant, let me say that wrinkle finish demo does more to retard sales than anything else. There is very little Wow in your demo….also you guys are prepping in the same location as they are painting and not wearing proper respirators, yeah…even in a demo you should be showing it.
I know the product is better, because I use it….but for those yet to be sold to….this demo gets a fat zero.

Very helpfull, especially when im working on my 1981 El Camino

I have been using Dupli-color for years to touch up friends cars to a near factory finish but the biggest surprise is the no mix laquer that you will use to paint that EL-Camino with. I used the Silver Metallic and Cleared it on my Snap on Tool Box and it is smoother than my vette! Great products and still reasonably priced to purchase. I was wondering if in any of the episodes that you will address wearing a mask because even in small amounts paints are very harmful to the respiratory system. If these are not please correct me but I was thinking that you were painting without a mask simply for TV purposes. Just wanted to make sure people new to protect themselves when using these wonderful products. Keep up the good work!! Jason

I’m curious. Can you use the metalcast Smoke paint to smoke headlights if you use an adhesion promoter?
Or is there a Duplicolor product I could use to smoke headlights?

Hey Leo,
With respect to the clearcoat spray being used on polished aluminum, the answers is YES, it can definitely be used. Use the Engine Enamel Clear DE1636 and make sure the aluminum is prepped so the clear coat bonds.
Hope that helps.
Thank you.

Hey Jordan,
With respect to your question about using MetalCast Smoke paint to smoke headlights, the answer is a little tricky… it can be used but at your own risk… it would also be permanent. I am going to suggest using VHT Nite Shades as well.
Thank you.
